DNA Business Consulting was created with a simple premise. We want to help businesses grow faster and operate with purpose. Amanda and Dave Babst have built their careers with these core ideas in mind (not to mention parent these 3 kids).
Over the past twenty years, our business careers have allowed us to experience some pretty amazing things.
Through it all, we have picked up proven business practices, processes, and methodologies. Our larger mission is to share our value system and business experiences with companies and business leaders who are in need of some specific direction. We want to share what we know to help you achieve your larger goals and aspirations.
Throughout his 20-year career, Dave’s professional experience has been connected by the interplay between data + analytics, digital engagement, technology, and innovation. He has had sales, marketing, and customer responsibilities at large public companies like Goldman Sachs, Google, and the Publicis Groupe. More recently, he has served smaller, more entrepreneurial organizations and their efforts to commercialize new solutions that help customers to improve digital experiences, leverage more advanced applications of analytics, and adopt new applications of technology. He currently works as the Managing Director of DNA Consulting, LLC, a consulting boutique that he and his wife, Amanda, co-founded.
Dave has a JD and MBA from the University of Pittsburgh, a BA in Business from the University of Richmond. Dave has also earned multiple competency based certifications from organizations that are at the forefront of innovation, including an Executive certification in Design Thinking from the Institute of Design at Stanford University, a certificate in foundational usage of Google Analytics, a certification in Content Marketing from Hubspot, a certification in Social Marketing from Hootsuite, and a certificate in Customer Success Management from Pulse Academy by Gainsight.
Throughout her 20-year career, Amanda’s professional experience includes multiple retail banking leadership roles within the market and in functional analytics strategy. Notably, Amanda led National City Bank’s 130 branch network in Chicago as its Market Executive where she was consistently recognized for top decile performance at the bank. Amanda also developed a financial services consulting practice prior to co-founding DNA Business Consulting and spent several years working in early stage analytics companies.
She currently works as the Regional Retail Leader at Key Bank and is responsible for market leadership of the Retail Bank in the greater Pittsburgh region. This role is tasked with developing and executing on the market strategy, which includes the branch network, home lending, and creating a winning culture and brand for our employees and clients.
Amanda has an MBA from Case Western Reserve and a BA in Business and Psychology from Wittenberg University. Amanda has has also participated in CBA School and was part of an Executive Leadership Development Program while at the bank. Amanda was the youngest woman to be named Executive Vice President during her time there.
